Contour Training Ltd offer a range of First Aid at Work courses working either to our own in-house Contour Training or Lantra Awards accreditation.

Industry Experience

Contour Training’s industry experience includes working with both public and private sector, construction and utility sectors, government organisations, local authorities, MOD and conservation groups. We have some of the most experienced Lantra Awards and NPORS trainers in the UK, many of whom are also highly experienced with all types of all-terrain vehicles.

HSE Guidance

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide suitable equipment, facilities and first aid training to enable immediate assistance to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

Since 1 October 2013 HSE no longer approves first aid training and qualifications – and no longer approves first aid training organisations. This means that businesses have more flexibility in how they manage their provision of first aid in the workplace.

Determining Your Training Needs

When determining the level of first aid training needed for your business, a risk assessment should be carried out for the specific business and workplace environment, taking into account the number of employees, size, location and work activity. This HSE Guidance for employers document may be helpful.
