Lantra ITA Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-Cutting and Basic Felling (up to 200mm)

Lantra Approved

Introductory Felling Course (Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-Cutting and Basic Felling)

This is a 4 day ITA (Integrated Training & Assessment) course, resulting in a Lantra Awards certificate of training.

This course will provide you with the appropriate techniques and safety guidelines to ensure that you are confident when using a chainsaw and felling trees up to 200mm diameter and that you are aware of the current Health and Safety guidelines, making sure you stay protected.

Industry Experience

Contour Training’s industry experience includes working with both public and private sector, construction and utility sectors, government organisations, local authorities, MOD and conservation groups. We have some of the most experienced Lantra Awards and NPORS trainers in the UK, many of whom are also highly experienced with all types of all-terrain vehicles. City & Guilds / NPTC qualifications also available.

Sites and Equipment

Our expert instructors can come to your site all over the UK, or we can provide training sites, PPE and equipment hire in various locations.

Who should attend?

If you intend to work in the forestry and/or arboricultural industries and if you only need to fell trees under 200mm in diameter then this course is for you. If you are going to be felling larger trees you need to look at one of the NPTC accredited felling courses.

Due to the nature of training, a minimum level of fitness is required for specific operations. Whilst we do not want to disadvantage any learner, it is an essential requirement.
