Abrasive Wheels Training

Lantra Approved

Our Abrasive Wheels Course

Specialist Abrasive Wheel Training Courses

Contour Training provides Abrasive Wheel training courses accredited by Lantra Awards and NPORS. The courses can be delivered onsite throughout the UK and can take a maximum of 6 delegates.

There is a half day Abrasive Wheels awareness course option which is classroom-based, or a full day course which includes practical cutting and grinding. Our experienced instructors will come to your site and deliver training on the specific machinery your employees are using at work.

Industry Experience

Contour Training’s industry experience includes working with both public and private sector, construction and utility sectors, government organisations, local authorities, MOD and conservation groups. We have some of the most experienced Lantra Awards and NPORS trainers in the UK, many of whom are also highly experienced with all types of all-terrain vehicles.

Why Learn?

It is a legal requirement under The Provision and use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER) that all staff who use abrasive wheels in the workplace receive abrasive wheel training in the safe use of the tools and changing of wheels.

There are 3 main categories of Abrasive Wheels and the duration of training is dependent on the number of categories to be covered and the previous experience of the operators. The courses are designed to help the individual understand their responsibilities within the workplace and are suitable for anyone who is asked to use abrasive wheels at work.
